I just returned from a fabulous week in I...Hi Burcu<br />I just returned from a fabulous week in Istanbul, where we ate almost non stop. Since then I have been googling Turkish recipes non stop so that I can recreate some of the wonderful meals we had there. Was thrilled to find your website and have been trying some of your recipes. These cookies remind me of my Grandmother's Christmas cookies. She was Greek but grew up in Turkey. We also bake the cookies stuffed with nuts and then boil them in syrup but then take them out and roll them in a mixture of walnuts/sugarand cinnamon. They are without a doubt my favorite cookie.
